Man arrested for attempted kidnapping at S.C. school after breaking classroom window

CHESTER, S.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Authorities have apprehended a 20-year-old man, now held at the Chester County Detention Center, following an incident where he allegedly smashed a school window with his head, entered a classroom, and took a child.

“In my three decades of law enforcement, I never thought I’d witness such an event on Halloween in our beloved town, especially in what should be a secure environment,” remarked Chester County Sheriff Max Dorsey.

On Friday afternoon, the Chester County Sheriff’s Office responded by placing the Chester Park School Complex on lockdown.
