A man from Claiborne County has been charged with attempted second-degree murder following an event in Hancock County, as reported by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI).
The TBI’s investigation revealed that on August 24, Colby Seals was involved in an altercation with another man in a parking area along Main Street. Seals allegedly continued to assault the victim even after he lost consciousness, inflicting severe injuries.
In August, the Third Judicial District Attorney General Dan Armstrong requested the TBI to look into the matter. On Monday, a Hancock County grand jury charged Seals with attempted second-degree murder, leading to his arrest on a $100,000 bond.
This comes the same day a Hancock County School Board member was indicted on charges of soliciting a minor for sex.
