DALLAS — Texas Governor Greg Abbott is intensifying his efforts to eliminate what he and fellow Republicans refer to as “wokeness ideologies” from higher education institutions across the state.
This initiative has sparked a nationwide debate about the limits of academic freedom and concerns over whether educators are facing repercussions for their political beliefs.
Abbott expressed his stance on social media, stating, “Texas is targeting professors who prioritize advancing leftist ideologies over preparing students to lead our nation.”
