Two injured, one sustains life-threatening injuries in Decatur crash

DECATUR, Ill. (WCIA) — A tragic shooting on Friday night claimed the life of a 17-year-old, while a 19-year-old has been apprehended amid an ongoing homicide probe by the Decatur Police.

Authorities were alerted on October 24 at 10:10 p.m. about gunshots and a victim at a business located in the 1100 block of E Wood Street. Upon their arrival, officers discovered a teenage boy suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was swiftly transported to Decatur Memorial Hospital, where he unfortunately passed away from his injuries.
