ORLANDO, Fla. – As of the 8 a.m. update from the National Hurricane Center on Saturday, Invest 90L is increasingly likely to develop into a tropical storm in the coming days.
A tropical depression is anticipated to form by the end of today, with expectations of further intensification on Sunday, possibly reaching the status of Tropical Storm Fernand. Hurricane hunters are scheduled to examine the system later in the day.
Additionally, Invest 99L is under observation, yet currently shows a low probability for tropical development. Forecasts indicate it will keep moving westward towards the Lesser Antilles. At present, strong wind shear is obstructing its growth, but environmental conditions might become more favorable for development by Sunday and Monday.
At this time, there are no tropical threats to Central Florida. Keep an eye out for more updates as these systems evolve!
