JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — The city of Johnson City has announced that one eastbound lane on West State of Franklin Road, close to Founders Park, will be closed for the remainder of the week.

According to a statement from Johnson City, Summers-Taylor will shut down one eastbound lane of West State of Franklin Road near Earnest Street starting Wednesday, continuing through Friday or until the necessary work is finished.

The announcement advises that drivers who cannot avoid the route should prepare for potential delays, exercise caution within the construction zone, and adhere to the posted speed limits to ensure both their safety and the safety of the workers.
