FLAGLER BEACH, Fla. – Diners at Tortugas’ Florida Kitchen in Flagler Beach experienced an unexpected twist to their brunch on Saturday when two surprise visitors made a sudden appearance on the patio.
The restaurant’s social media lit up with videos capturing the moment as deer sprinted past the bar on Ocean Shore Boulevard, catching patrons off guard and even toppling a few chairs.
At one point, a deer came perilously close to colliding with an employee.
Thankfully, the restaurant confirmed that the unexpected guests left without causing any injuries. Surveillance footage showed the lively deer making their way through the parking lot.
This isn’t the first time Flagler Beach has seen deer cause a commotion.
Just last July, lifeguards from Flagler Beach Ocean Rescue had to intervene when they spotted a deer struggling to swim in the Atlantic Ocean, ultimately rescuing the animal.
Last July, Flagler Beach Ocean Rescue lifeguards pulled a deer from the Atlantic Ocean after spotting the animal struggling to stay afloat offshore.
