Fire and Rescue NSW’s Adam Dewberry reported that although there have been no injuries, the blaze’s intensity caused it to spread to neighboring businesses. The full extent of the damage remains uncertain as the fire continues to smolder.

“We have property at risk on the side and to the rear of the site,” Dewberry noted.

He also mentioned, “We’ve experienced a collapse of the roof and some walls.”

Dewberry explained that the operation was particularly challenging due to the high fuel load, including furniture and timber, and the difficulty in delivering sufficient water to the fire trucks and onto the flames.

“Fire and Rescue New South Wales had to pump water from a distance in other streets of other big mains to get enough water on the fire.”

NSW Police and NSW Ambulance paramedics were also at the scene.

People are being urged to avoid the area and keep any doors and windows closed if they live nearby.

The cause of the blaze remains unknown.
