Christa B. Allen has claimed she escaped a cult after falling in love with the leader.
The 33-year-old actress, best known for portraying the young version of Jennifer Garner’s character in 13 Going On 30, mentioned that she is currently ‘rebuilding her life’ after a trying ordeal.
In a social media post, she explained that she fell ‘in love with a charismatic wealthy cult leader’ and has now gotten away.
Earlier this week, the Revenge star — who relocated to Italy last year for a project produced by Reese Witherspoon — shared a TikTok video of herself joyfully spinning outside.
She wrote over the clip: ‘How it feels rebuilding your life after being in love with a charismatic wealthy cult leader who burned it to the ground.’
In her caption, she wrote, ‘Let me be very clear: Nobody can burn down your life unless you give them access to it. That’s the part I’ve had to own.’

She also reflected on how she got caught up in the ‘cult’ while dating the leader.
She further commented: ‘I’ve been grappling with some difficult questions: Why did I trust him? Why did I give away my power? Why did I ignore my intuition? The truth is, he was weaving fairytales and from lavish penthouses and private jets, I naively believed them.’
‘What I discovered is that even if you spend every waking hour with someone — studying, eating, traveling, working, building, dreaming — you still may not truly KNOW them. Especially when dealing with someone who lies as easily as they breathe,’ she stated.
‘That realization shattered me, but it also forced me to rebuild from the ground up. And fire is also cleansing.’
In subsequent videos responding to fans who asked for more details about her experience, she refrained from naming the ‘cult leader’ but accused him of ‘lying and manipulating’ her.
Allen said that they met on social media when ‘the algorithm brought us together’ because of their shared passion in ‘spirituality.’
She said they moved in together three days after they met, which she admitted was ‘not a great idea in hindsight.’
She also claimed he was involved in ‘all of the extracurriculars that are putting everybody’s health at risk’ — suggesting that he was partaking in activities with ‘a lot of people’ and ‘especially famous girls.’

She seemingly alluded to her ex in another TikTok in August and wrote about how he left her in a difficult situation after giving her an ultimatum.
‘When the “spiritual” guy you were dating forced you to quit your job because he promised to take care of you… then left you with zero income while cheating and sleeping around with countless women while lying about it all… But then you remember — he knows the laws of the universe, and the universe don’t miss,’ she wrote.
Back in March, she also posted on TikTok that she was moving back to Los Angeles after living in Miami for three years.
She assured fans that she is going ‘great’ now in follow-up videos after getting out of the relationship and cult.
