CHICAGO (CBS)– Police are searching for four inmates who escaped from a Western Illinois jail.

Jesse Davis, Cody Villalobos, Zachary Hart, and Eugene Roets escaped from the Fulton County Jail Wednesday night.
Correctional officers first discovered an inmate missing from a cell block and later determined a total of four inmates had escaped.
The men are considered armed and dangerous.

The Fulton County sheriff warned people in Lewistown to stay inside their homes and keep doors locked.
The Fulton County Emergency Services and Disaster Agency said, Thursday morning, a person matching the description of one of the escaped inmates was spotted near Farmington, Illinois.
During a search of the area, the suspect stole a van from the Farmington area.
Searches are continuing in the Farmington area, where there have been confirmed sightings of at least two of the suspects.

“Residents in the Farmington area are encouraged to maintain vigilance and awareness of their surroundings. Should anyone in the County see anyone matching the description of the suspects, they are encouraged to call 911,” Fulton County officials said in a Facebook post.
