On Wednesday, one of the most glamorous actresses from 1980s television made a rare public appearance, leaving fans astonished by her age-defying beauty.

The actress, who is now 69, first captivated audiences in 1984 when she took on the role of Sgt. Dee Dee McCall in the police series Hunter. As she went about her day in Los Angeles, she appeared as if she had barely aged at all.

Once voted “the most beautiful woman in the history of television” by TV Guide readers in 1988, she exuded an air of timeless elegance, donning a stylish black-and-white outfit.

Her ensemble also hinted at her rock-and-roll spirit, reminiscent of the musical aspirations that prompted her departure from Hunter after seven seasons in pursuit of a recording contract.

Her diverse career further includes notable roles in shows like Starsky & Hutch, Dynasty, Bosom Buddies, and Knots Landing.

She appeared in Coins in the Fountain (1990), Twin Sisters (1992), Beyond Suspicion (1994), Deceived by Trust (1995), Abducted: A Father’s Love (1996), Thrill (1996), The Dogwalker (1999), and The Cutting Edge: Going for the Gold (2006). 

She also reprised her role as Dee Dee McCall in two Hunter TV movies in 2002 and 2003.

However, a 2003 NBC revival of the series was canceled after just four episodes, despite strong ratings.

Her contributions to television have been widely recognized. In 2015, she was honored as an “Icon of Television” at the 55th Monte-Carlo Television Festival and returned the following year as a member of the festival’s Fiction Jury.

On the personal front, she married Mark Richards in 1992 and divorced in 2001.

The couple’s daughter, Lily Richards, born in 1994, has followed in her mother’s creative footsteps as an actress, writer, and director.
