Sevilla are considering making their third managerial change in the space of 12 months as pressure mounts on Jose Luis Mendilibar.

The LaLiga club have won just two of eleven matches across all competitions so far this season.

Mendilibar guided Sevilla to a record seventh Europa League title in June, but could be set to pay the price for a slow start to the current campaign.

However, this season has been less successful with results declining and former Manchester City man Fernando was furious with his manager after being substituted in the first half of Sevilla’s 2-2 draw against Rayo Vallecano on Saturday.

And the ex-Eibar and Athletic Bilbao boss could now be set to lose his job, with the Sevilla hierarchy now considering another change of manager – as per Relevo.

The dismissal of Mendilibar would represent a third change of manager within a year after Julen Lopetegui was sacked in October 2022 and Jorge Sampaoli was moved on in March.

Sevilla currently sit 13th in the LaLiga table following the draw against Rayo Vallecano.

They have registered only two wins in the league and are yet to taste victory in the Champions League following group stage draws against Lens and PSV.

Mendilibar also suffered a defeat against Man City in the UEFA Super Cup, as the Champions League holders claimed victory in a penalty shootout.

If Mendilibar does depart, Sevilla will be searching for their tenth different manager since Unai Emery left for Paris Saint-Germain in 2016.
