As Adam Peaty prepares to chase Commonwealth gold tonight with his pregnant wife Holly Ramsay watching on, one unexpected connection to his estranged family appears to remain intact.
The 31-year-old Olympic champion, now competing in Glasgow as Adam Ramsay-Peaty, is understood to be estranged from his parents, Caroline and Mark.
He secured his place in the Commonwealth Games 100m breaststroke final in Glasgow last night after winning both his heat and semi-final, cheered on by his devoted partner.
But his parents and wider family, once a highly visible source of support, were absent as the split within the family continues — a rift that also saw Caroline and Mark miss their son’s lavish wedding last December.
Ahead of the Games, reports claimed the couple were preparing for further “bombshells” from members of Ramsay-Peaty’s family, some of whom are said to have struggled with the estrangement.
Yet it has now emerged that the swimmer has not cut every formal tie with his mother and father, who continue to live in the same three-bedroom semi-detached house where he was raised in the working-class Staffordshire town of Uttoxeter.
The couple remain at the property, where a huge 30-foot Union Jack flies prominently in the garden.
According to documents filed at Companies House, Ramsay-Peaty still uses his parents’ address for official purposes.

The Olympian has also not changed his name on any filed papers, still going under ‘Adam Peaty’.
He’s used his parents address for the last 12 years for his main company Adam Peaty Ltd, which is his top money-spinner for earnings in and out of the pool.
In its last set of accounts, it had reserves of £1,415,201 including £129,037 cash in the bank and £100,000 in investments.
Meanwhile, despite his parents purchasing the property in 1990 – four years before Adam was born – they still retain a mortgage with Co-Op bank.
While Ramsay-Peaty netted his first million in 2022, his father-in-law Gordon’s businesses were worth an eye-watering £162million.
Ramsay-Peaty’s pregnant wife Holly set up a public relations firm in June 2024, but it appears that it’s barely trading.
New figures, released last month, show that it has just £9,209 in reserves – and owes creditors £30,436.
The pair will be hoping Ramsay-Peaty’s target for 50m and 100m breaststroke golds won’t be tarnished by yet more family drama.

In Glasgow, Adam could become the first Team England swimmer to win four consecutive gold medals as he competes in the 50m and 100m breaststroke races.
His campaign got off to a bumpy start yesterday after a ten-minute delay to his 100m breaststroke heat, caused by a broken lane divider.
While he was on the blocks, one of the lane dividers broke off, leading to some commotion as the fixing had sunk to the bottom of the pool.
Fortunately, a volunteer was on hand to strip down to his shorts and dive in to address the problem.
Ramsay-Peaty went on to win his heat in the quickest time of anybody.
He then progressed through to the final as his wife watched on. Before the race, she shared a snap to her Instagram Stories of Adam in his new ‘Ramsay-Peaty’ swimming cap and wrote: ‘So Special.’

Adam has described these Games as a ‘full circle moment’ as he looks to reignite his career.
A silver medal at the Paris Olympics in 2024 helped him refocus after a difficult 2023 in which he withdrew from a series of events in order to focus on mental health concerns.
His win in the 100m in 2014 began eight years of almost total dominance in the event. That streak came to an end in dramatic fashion in Birmingham four years ago when he trailed home in a shock fourth place in the event.
The athlete, who is due to return for his semi-final on Friday evening, told TNT Sports: ‘Job done, really. We’ve got a busy two weeks coming up, so we’re reserving energy where we can.
‘Last time I was here, I was very young. We barely had any world records to my name, or known world records to my name, so it’s been a very long journey.’

It comes after the athlete gave an insight into married life with pregnant Holly in a new interview with BBC Breakfast on Tuesday.
Talking about the Commonwealth Games, the Olympic champion said that becoming a father for a second time has made him ‘grow up’.
He said: ‘Our wedding was one of the best days of my life, watching Holly walk down the aisle, it’s a view that I will never forget.
‘It’s like I’ve got a snapshot in my brain, the music and the church was just incredible. Having Gordon (Ramsay) as my father-in-law is an incredible blessing.
‘I’m also expecting a baby little girl. While I’m incredibly excited, that role of being a father has been just incredible and to have another human in this world that loves and cherishes you is a blessing.’
He continued: ‘My love isn’t going to be judged by a medal. With Holly going through pregnancy, all I can pray for is her happiness and the health of her and the baby and for me, that does push me even more to grow up.’
