Tragic Double Murder-Suicide Under Investigation at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Wright-Patterson Air Force Base has issued a statement regarding the ongoing investigation into a tragic double murder-suicide involving three of its employees.

The statement outlines that the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) and the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (OSI) are jointly looking into the deaths. These events occurred between the night of Friday, October 24, and the morning of Saturday, October 25.

The Ohio community is in shock and seeking answers in the wake of this double murder-suicide.

“We are profoundly saddened by this tragic event, and our thoughts and prayers go out to the families and loved ones affected. We stand by them as they face this unimaginable sorrow, and we extend our deepest condolences to everyone impacted by this heartbreaking loss,” expressed Deputy Commander, Air Force Materiel Command, Lt. Gen Linda Hurry. “Our commitment is to thoroughly investigate this incident and to ensure that the families and colleagues of the victims receive the necessary support during this challenging time.”

In other news, Indiana Lt. Gov. Beckwith is under investigation over allegations involving fraud and deepfakes.

1st Lt. Jaime Gustitus, 25, who worked in the 711th Human Performance Wing, part of the Air Force Research Laboratory.
Mrs. Jaymee Prichard, 33, who worked within the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center.
Mr. Jacob Prichard, 34, who was also a part of the Air Force Research Laboratory.

“The Air Force and local authorities are providing counseling services and support to all individuals impacted by the tragedy,” wrote officials. “The families and friends of the victims will be offered resources through the Air Force’s Casualty Assistance Office, the Air Force Employee Assistance Program, and the Chaplain’s Office to help them navigate this difficult time.”
