The Alexander brothers, prominent luxury real estate agents from Manhattan, have been convicted of using funds from their high-value properties to drug and sexually assault several women. The shocking verdict has drawn widespread attention to the trio’s egregious crimes.

Tal Alexander, 39, along with his twin siblings, Oren and Alon, 38, faced a jury of seven women and six men at the Manhattan federal court, resulting in their conviction on ten charges. The brothers, visibly stunned, were escorted out of the courtroom, with Alon managing a faint smile in the direction of his steadfast wife, Shani. Throughout the proceedings, Shani sat beside her in-laws, maintaining a composed demeanor with her head lowered and arms crossed.

Until they face sentencing on August 6, the brothers will be held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.

These millionaire real estate agents were implicated in a decade-long scheme involving the drugging and raping of multiple women. Their five-week trial brought forth testimony from 11 women who detailed harrowing experiences of assault in various locations, including the Alexanders’ New York City residences, a ski trip in Colorado, opulent mansions in the Hamptons, and even on a cruise in the Caribbean.

The millionaire brothers were accused of drugging and raping dozens of women as part of a predatory campaign stretching back over a decade.

Their five-week trial heard from 11 accusers who claimed to have been attacked at various locations including the brothers’ New York City homes, during a Colorado ski trip, at Hamptons mansions and aboard a Caribbean cruise.

Each brother faces a mandatory minimum of 15 years to life in prison for the charges which include sex trafficking, conspiracy, and other offenses tied to drugging, sexual assault. 

The court heard from more than 30 witnesses, including accusers who told strikingly similar stories of being lured into the playboy brothers’ luxury lifestyle before being drugged and attacked. 

In his closing arguments, Assistant US Attorney Andrew Jones told the court that their accounts showed a disturbing pattern among the brothers, ripped straight from a rapist’s ‘playbook.’

The trio pleaded not guilty and their defense sought to portray their sexually charged behavior as at most morally reprehensible, but not criminal.

That defense was blown apart when the jury returned the resounding verdict.

Their fourth brother, Niv Alexander, was not involved or charges with any of the crimes. 

Ahead of the trial, the government stated that the brothers used ‘their wealth and prominent positions in real estate to create and facilitate opportunities to sexually assault women’.

Tearful testimony from the 11 accusers, eight of whom were named in the indictment, bolstered that narrative.

They told how they met the brothers through dating apps, parties and nights out before being promised luxury travel opportunities.

The accounts often began with the brothers offering drinks which the accusers believe were laced with drugs.

One victim, using the pseudonym Isa Brooks, told the court that she felt like she was being ‘mauled by wild animals’ during an alleged rape by Tal, Alon and two other men when she was just 16-years-old.

The prosecution also presented a litany of alarming texts, videos, and blog posts in which the brothers bragged about their conquests and openly discussed procuring drugs.

Their defense tried unsuccessfully to dismiss their words as bravado and shock-jock humor.

One particularly harrowing moment in the court came as jurors were played a video which prosecutors said showed a drugged 17-year-old being raped by Alon, then 21.

The woman, using the pseudonym Amelia Rosen, testified that she had no idea about the video until she was contacted by federal prosecutors. 

Now this trial is over, Alon and Oren face three state rape charges in Florida including one related to an alleged attack at Alon’s Miami Beach condo in 2016. 

Even prior to the verdict, the trial blew apart any semblance of respectability for the brothers, who were high-flying, family men prior to their arrests. 

Tal and Oren are best known as high end realtors who have sold $100 million properties in the Hamptons, Miami and New York City, while Alon had taken up the mantle at the family’s multi-million dollar security firm Kent. 

All three are married, although Tal’s wife Arielle is estranged and filed for divorce almost immediately after his arrest and the birth of their first child. 

Alon’s wife Shani Zigron, a former Victoria’s Secret model, has been his unwavering supporter, dutifully attending each hearing and remaining mostly stone-faced during victims’ testimony.

Oren’s model wife Kamila Hansen has attended a handful of times and appeared in court only briefly on two occasions.

Ahead of the trial the brother’s parents Orly and Shlomy Alexander issued a staunch statement standing by the trio, insisting: ‘We know who our boys are.’

However even they were left cringing at points during the explosive evidence, with dad Shlomy exiting the court room to avoid having to hear excerpts read aloud from a vulgar blog associated with Alon and Oren detailing their sexual conquests. 

The explosive evidence was not the only drama during the trial.

Two charges tied to alleged attacks in the Hamptons in 2009 were dropped over what the prosecution described as ‘witness intimidation’.

The trial has also been plagued by juror issues, including one man who had to be dismissed after he reportedly was heard stating that he had already decided on a verdict before the evidence concluded. 

Another juror had to be subbed for an alternate after the historic blizzard which gripped New York City left her stranded in Florida.
