Three of the nation’s most prominent real estate figures were sentenced to 30 years in federal prison on Tuesday after being convicted of sex trafficking offenses.
Twins Oren and Alon Alexander, both 39, and their brother Tal Alexander, 40, were found guilty in March of 10 counts involving a years-long conspiracy to commit rape, sex trafficking, sexual abuse and sexual exploitation in Manhattan federal court.
US District Judge Valerie E. Caproni imposed the same 30-year sentence on each brother, describing them as resembling Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.
Caproni criticized the men for continuing to deny the allegations despite their convictions and rejected their request for the minimum 15-year sentence.
‘I don’t refer to people as monsters because even rapists can change, but your conduct was monstrous,’ the judge said.
The brothers’ closely watched trial in March featured testimony from 11 victims, along with disturbing photographs, messages and a video of an alleged sexual assault so graphic that it nearly brought one juror to tears.
Several victims broke down as they delivered emotional statements in court before Caproni announced the sentences on Tuesday.
One woman, who testified under the name Maya Miller, addressed the judge through tears: ‘I stand here not only for myself but for every voice that Tal and his brothers have tried to silence. Your Honor, this is a life sentence I never asked for.

‘This remains with me long after this. I carry a quiet funeral inside me.’
Another victim, identified in court as Katie Moore, said: ‘These men spent years treating women and girls as though our lives, bodies, voices, and humanity meant nothing. But we are not disposable, and they are not untouchable.’
The three brothers were arrested in 2024 and have remained in custody without bail ever since.
The men appeared to grin during the hearing. Their parents and wives, who had regularly attended the trial, were not in the courtroom for the sentencing.
The only family member present was their older brother, Niv, who has not been accused of wrongdoing.
Prosecutors said the brothers’ alleged sexual assaults began as early as 2001 or 2002, while they were still in high school.
According to the government, they later developed a pattern of drugging and raping women they had invited on luxury trips.
‘The defendants felt empowered to take whatever they wanted from any woman or girl who agreed to get on a plane, go to a party, or sit at their table at a nightclub,’ prosecutors said.
Once the assaults began, prosecutors said, the brothers ‘seemed to prefer – when the women protested, struggled to get free, or lay lifeless in front of them.’

Eleven women testified at their trial, with many of them describing being raped or sexually assaulted after they became disoriented and lost control of their bodies after being given a drink by one of the brothers.
At least 70 women were raped or sexually assaulted by the men, prosecutors said in a court filing that called the brothers ‘serial rapists.’
While the brothers maintain their innocence, the defense asked that they each receive the minimum sentence of 15 years.
Defense lawyers said the brothers apologize to the women they insulted or offended for conduct they admit was ‘insensitive toward the feelings of certain women at certain times.’
Judge Caproni previously said she believes the brothers should not be incarcerated at the same prison because they were a bad influence on one another.
The brothers’ parents, Orly and Shlomi Alexander, had asked the judge to spare their three sons from spending the rest of their lives behind bars.

In a letter obtained by Our News Outlet, the parents asked the judge to consider the ‘whole lives’ of their convicted sex trafficker sons, insisting they are devoted fathers, loving husbands and charitable men who deserve a chance to return home and raise their children.
Alon’s wife, Israeli model Shani Zigron, 30, echoed their appeal, describing her husband as a gentle, caring father who changed diapers, prepared breakfast for their daughters, and treated her with ‘care, respect and gentleness’ throughout their marriage.
Meanwhile, Oren’s wife, Brazilian model Kamila, recalled how his dramatic arrest while she was nine months pregnant left her ‘traumatized,’ forced her to raise their baby alone and derailed her once-successful modeling career.
The character statements submitted before Tuesday’s sentencing hearing even cited volunteer work the brothers did as teenagers, including helping children with special needs, in a bid to secure lighter sentences.
Prosecutors asked for life imprisonment for all three men, while federal probation officials recommended 195 years for Oren and 180 years each for his twin Alon and their older brother Tal.
