Amanda Seyfried is parting ways with a piece of her Los Angeles story, placing her inviting Hollywood Hills residence up for sale.
The 40-year-old Mean Girls actress has listed the three-bedroom, three-bathroom home for $3.195 million, underscoring her continued shift from Hollywood living to a more low-key lifestyle on her farm in upstate New York.
Property records show Seyfried bought the home in 2011 for $11.85 million.
Set on a 9,104-square-foot lot, the traditional-style house offers 2,738 square feet of living space and pairs vintage character with carefully considered contemporary improvements.

She and her husband of nine years actor Thomas Sadoski bought the home there in 2013 so their children – daughter Nina, nine, and son Thomas, five – could go to local schools and grow up outside of the spotlight of their famous parents.

‘I moved upstate long before I had a family. Staying here was the best decision for privacy, peace and nature. It offers a more balanced life than the city does,’ Seyfried previously told Forbes, adding that it was ‘essential for my mental health.’
The family is surrounded by animals at the sprawling estate, with Amanda recently saying her ‘pets keep her balanced.’ That included their beloved dog Finn, who passed away in July 2026.
The new hometown quickly earned a special place in her heart, with Seyfried telling Allure back in 2016 that ‘there’s a Dunkin’ Donuts, a reflexology place.’
‘Even the grocery store is special. It’s the classic small-town grocery. There’s a lot of local things happening. And then I go to the farm stand. Everything you get is absolutely local. But I also have a garden.’
