A helicopter crash in Huntington Beach, California, on Saturday has left five people hospitalized, authorities confirmed to Fox News Digital.

“Currently, both individuals who were in the helicopter have been safely rescued from the crash site, while three pedestrians on the ground have been injured,” a representative from the Huntington Beach Fire Department mentioned to Fox News Digital.

“It initially looked like a film,” Robinson shared with Fox News Digital. “It seemed like some wild stunt was underway. The helicopter rotated a few times before crashing down. It was intense.”

In his comments to Fox News Digital, Robinson noted that he is a regular beach-goer and that there was an event happening called “Cars ‘N Copters on the Coast.”

He further explained, “As it descended low, I heard a distinct ping, and then a piece detached from the helicopter. I’m not sure what exactly it was. With that, the helicopter started spiraling out of control.”

The cause of the crash is not yet clear. The investigation is ongoing.

This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.
