A 63-year-old woman and a 68-year-old man became trapped in floodwaters in a Mitsubishi Pajero at 7.15pm yesterday.

They were rescued and transported to Biggenden Hospital with minor injuries.

Emergency services were also called to Booral Road in Bunya Creek at about 10.40pm after reports a Toyota CHR was caught in floodwaters.

A 56-year-old woman was trapped in a Toyota CHR before a 25-year-old man and a 26-year-old man attempted to rescue her.

The woman was able to be removed from the car but all three became trapped in fast-flowing water.

A short time later, all three people were safely rescued.

The two men were assessed at the scene and the woman was taken to Hervey Bay Hospital for observation.

Motorists should keep up to date with the latest road closures on the Qld Traffic website.
