Bobcat falls off trailer, crushing car and trapping woman

Emergency crews have rushed to free a woman after she became trapped under a bobcat in south-east Perth.

In a dramatic incident this afternoon around 4 p.m. local time (7 p.m. AEDT), a car towing a trailer carrying a bobcat lost its load on Caulfield Street in Champion Lakes. The trailer detached, colliding with a vehicle traveling behind it.

The impact forced the trailing car off the road and into a ditch on Corfield Street, leaving a woman in her 40s trapped inside.

It’s understood a car was towing a trailer with a bobcat on the back when it came off and hit the car behind it on Caulfield Street in Champion Lakes about 4pm today (7pm AEDT). (9News)

Emergency services swiftly transported her to Royal Perth Hospital, where she is currently fighting for her life due to critical injuries.

Footage captured by the 9News helicopter reveals the severity of the crash, showing a blue sedan severely damaged beneath the heavy equipment.

Thankfully, reports indicate that no other individuals suffered injuries in this incident.
