Harrison Reid, once a familiar face on the popular show Bondi Rescue, has successfully sold his former Sydney home for an impressive $1.5 million.

This sale comes after Reid decided to leave his lifeguard career last December and move back to New Zealand, where he is originally from. The property, located in Rose Bay, features two bedrooms and one bathroom.

Reid initially bought the apartment in 2019 for $1 million. He first put it on the market in 2024, but withdrew it due to a lack of interest from buyers at that time.

Now 32, Reid has embarked on a new career path as a real estate agent in Christchurch, his hometown.

The apartment, part of a 1960s three-story building just 8 kilometers from Sydney’s Central Business District, offers breathtaking views of the city’s skyline.

Equipped with modern amenities, the property also includes a spacious balcony adjoining the main bedroom, adding to its appeal.

There’s also a combined dining and living area and an updated kitchen.

Only one of nine flats in the block, the home received an update after Reid bought it seven years ago, according to The Daily Telegraph.

Reid settled in the eastern suburbs soon after relocating to Sydney from New Zealand in 2014, reported the publication.

The popular reality star purchased a two-bedroom flat the same year for $725,000.

After converting it into a large one-bedroom unit, he sold it for $745,000 in 2019, the same year he moved into his nearby flat in Rose Bay.

It comes after Reid took to Instagram last December to share the news he was giving up his role as a lifeguard.

‘Not many people get to say they landed their dream job at 18 and lived it for 12 years,’ he said.

‘Turning up to work each day with your best mates, never knowing what the day would throw at you, who would knock on the tower door, when the emergency phone would ring, or who would end up in a rip and need help.’

He added that it was a ‘privilege and an honour to wear the blue shirt while also saving countless lives’.

The TV star then thanked everyone who worked alongside him and supported him in the role.

‘A special thank you to the paramedics, police, volunteers, and the Bondi locals I’ve come to know and work alongside over the years.

‘And to my parents, thank you for letting me chase my dream from day one.

‘Finally, to all the lifeguards I worked with past and present… thank you. It was the best chapter of my life. The busy days, the trips away, and the after-work debriefs at The Bucket List and the hangovers.’

He finished off the post, writing: ‘I’m lucky to have made friends for life, and I know Bondi is in safe hands.’

Reid became a much-loved TV regular thanks to his leading role on Bondi Rescue as well as his time in the jungle on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Australia.

The lifeguard was eliminated eighth on the show and featured alongside stars such as Love Island’s Tina Provis, footballer Zach Tuohy, comedian Geraldine Hickey, actor Nicky Buckley and influencer Max Balegde.

Bondi Rescue debuted on Channel 10 in 2006, and plans for a new series are currently underway after the last season aired in 2024.
