The Song Hotel in Sydney has a unique mission: it allocates a portion of its revenue to support housing initiatives for women, addressing the increasing demands on the housing sector.

Established nearly a century ago, the original Song Hotel building was acquired by the YWCA and remains a testament to its dedication to social causes.
The need for such initiatives is pressing. Data from Homelessness Australia reveals a significant 20% rise in the number of women and girls who are already homeless when they seek shelter.
Every year, the Song Hotel offers approximately 130,000 nights of safe accommodation, but the demand for these services continues to surpass the available resources.
“At our hotel, 25% of every dollar spent is returned to the YWCA,” explained Ackary. “So, if you purchase a $4 coffee, $1 goes back into the community, and with a $40 steak, $10 is contributed.”

“Despite the challenging market conditions, combined revenue has increased by 10 per cent over recent years,” Anderson said.
“And while our purpose is number one, we never lose sight of our customers.”
