The lineup for the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest grand final is shaping up with 10 acts progressing through the first semi-final of the competition.
They will join the six countries who automatically qualify for the final, along with 10 other acts competing on Friday 16 May at 5am AEST.
will be performing in the second semi-final, where viewers will be able to cast their vote via the official website.

Who has progressed so far?

The ten acts that have moved through are:

  • Norway: Lighter by Kyle Alessandro
  • Albania: Zjerm by Shkodra Elektronike
  • Sweden: Bara Bada Bastu by KAJ
  • Iceland: RÓA by VÆB
  • Netherlands: C’est La Vie by Claude
  • Poland: GAJA by Justyna Steczkowska
  • San Marino: Tutta L’Italia by Gabry Ponte
  • Estonia: Espresso Macchiato by Tommy Cash
  • Portugal: Deslocado by NAPA
  • Ukraine: Bird of Pray by Ziferblat
They will join past year’s winner, Switzerland, and the acts from the ‘big five’ — France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom.

They are:

  • Switzerland -Voyage by Zoë Më 
  • France – Maman by Louane 
  • Germany – Baller by Abor & Tynna 
  • Italy – Volevo Essere Un Duro by Lucio Corsi 
  • Spain – Esa diva by Melody 
  • United Kingdom – What The Hell Just Happened? by Remember Monday

The major financial backing for the Eurovision contest, organized by the European Broadcasting Union, comes from broadcasters of the big five, ensuring their automatic spot in the grand finale annually.

Who was knocked out?

These five acts did not receive enough support to make it through to the grand final:

  • Slovenia: How Much Time Do We Have Left by Klemen
  • Belgium: Strobe Lights by Red Sebastian
  • Azerbaijan: Run With U by Mamagama
  • Croatia: Poison Cake by Marko Bošnjak
  • Cyprus: Shh by Theo Evan

Who is Australia up against?

Go-Jo will be performing first up on Friday, competing against 15 other acts vying to be one of the ten that progress through this stage.

  • Ireland: Laika Party by EMMY
  • Latvia: Bur Man Laimi by Tautumeitas

  • Lithuania: Tavo Akys by Katarsis
  • Malta: SERVING by Miriana Conte
  • Georgia: Freedom by Mariam Shengelia
  • Denmark: Hallucination by Sissal
  • Czechia: Kiss Kiss Goodbye by ADONXS
  • Luxembourg: La Poupée Monte Le Son by Laura Thorn
