One man has been left dead and another injured after a shooting near a pub in Sydney‘s inner west.

Police responded to the Harold Park Hotel on Ross Street in Forest Lodge after reports of a shooting in a public place around 6.40 pm.

When officers arrived, they found two men who had been shot multiple times by individuals who fled the scene in a car before the police’s arrival.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated both men at the scene for multiple gunshot wounds, but one man could not be saved.

The other man was transported to the hospital in serious condition.

Witnesses reported hearing between six and twelve gunshots.

“He had been shot multiple times, at least six times,” she stated.

“But he was still conscious, and they put him in the ambulance so hopefully he makes a full recovery.”

A crime scene’s been set up as police investigate the incident.
