Firefighters are working to control a bushfire that is threatening properties in a community in Brisbane’s north-west.

A watch and act alert has been issued for Mount Nebo Road, Betts Road and Camp Mountain Road in Enoggera Reservoir.

Residents have been told to prepare to leave as the slow-moving fire approaches.

As reported by the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services, the fire is presently moving in the direction of Mount Nebo Road, situated between Camp Mountain Road and Scrub Road.

Residents have been told to avoid driving along Mount Nebo Road between Camp Mountain Road and Scrub Road as “conditions could get worse quickly”.

“Firefighters are working to control the fire,” the warning said.

“You should not expect a firefighter at your door.

“Firefighting aircraft are helping ground crews.”
