Princess Ingrid Alexandra of Norway is set to relocate to Australia to pursue her studies at the University of Sydney, according to an announcement by the palace.

The 21-year-old is scheduled to start her Bachelor of Arts program in August.

“She has selected a three-year degree concentrating on international relations and political economy,” stated the palace.

Alexandra will be studying full-time and living in a student residence on campus.

“Her Royal Highness looks forward to dedicating herself to her studies in the years to come,” the palace said.

Alexandra is the eldest child of Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit and the grandchild of King Harald V.

She is the second in line to the throne, after her father.

Alexandra, who only recently began making greater public appearances, will have to step back from official duties during her time abroad.

Her move comes after Danish Count Nikolai of Monpezat completed a semester at the University of Technology in late 2023.

He now splits his time between Australia and Europe.
