A man has been charged with murder tonight after being arrested at Melbourne Airport on Friday, before boarding an international flight.
The 67-year-old was charged after a body, believed to be that of a missing woman, was discovered earlier today in Little River.

A 53-year-old woman from Dandenong is the subject of concern after she unexpectedly lost contact with her family, prompting them to report her missing on Thursday. The local police swiftly initiated an investigation, considering her sudden disappearance under suspicious circumstances.

This afternoon, detectives from the Missing Persons Squad made a grim discovery. A woman’s body was found near Little River Road and the Princes Freeway in Little River. Authorities have since established a crime scene at the location. While the body has yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be that of the missing woman.

In connection with the case, a man from Patterson Lakes has been taken into custody. He is set to appear in bail and remand court tomorrow.
