The victim, a 48-year-old Norlane man, was airlifted to hospital after his altercation with the 31-year-old man from Corio, at shop on Corangamite Drive in Corio about 5am on Monday, June 20.

The victim died from his injuries in hospital three days later.

Police allege the victim had been breaking into the shop, when he was confronted by the man, who is allegedly a nearby resident.

The man has today been charged with manslaughter and is due to front Geelong Magistrates Court.
