Tourists visiting New Zealand are soon to be slugged with new travel fees.

All overseas travellers will be charged between $18 and $36 to visit some of New Zealand’s most beautiful natural wonders.

That’s places like Milford Sound, Mount Cook, as well as Cathedral Cove and Tongariro Crossing, one of the most popular hiking tracks in the country.

The fee doesn’t kick in until 2027.
