One Nation’s strong performance in tonight’s South Australian election could have a domino effect across the border, casting further doubt on Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan’s leadership.

Both major political parties in South Australia witnessed a shift in voter support towards One Nation, even as Labor Premier Peter Malinauskas comfortably secured a second term.

Political analyst Charles Croucher anticipates that One Nation’s significant gains could have a transformative impact on the upcoming state election in Victoria this November.

Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan has claimed "anonymous gossip" from "scallywags" about her leadership is unfounded.

Despite swirling rumors, Allan has dismissed any suggestions of unrest, asserting that she maintains strong backing within her party and questioning the origins of these rumors.

Allan also refuted claims that a recent lunch meeting was aimed at bolstering her support.

“Whenever my schedule allows, I make time for such meetings,” she explained.

“I believe this clearly shows that we are a cohesive and robust Labor team.”

With the state election coming later this year, Labor sits behind the Liberal Party in the polls and is also being trailed closely by One Nation.
