The video, posted to social media, shows the individuals allegedly breaking into the Sands Apartment building before jumping between the roofs of buildings.
One of the individuals involved in the stunt is heard on the video saying they “saw a sign that said restricted area, no trespass but that seemed more like a challenge than an actual warning”.
The footage then shows them climbing onto the roof before leaping to another building.
The actions of the group have drawn condemnation from authorities.
“There’s no set offence for posting that on social media, but it certainly gives us conclusive evidence and also their flaunting of the legislation of trespass and high risk activity,” Superintendent Brett Jackson said.
“Should they not make the jump and fall, obviously there would be significant injuries, if not death.”
The individual behind the video describes himself as a “parkour athlete” based in Manchester, with videos of similar stunts dating back to 2011.
Authorities have indicated that the individuals involved could face consequences upon any future attempts to enter the country.
“If we identify someone who has committed an offence and then they leave the country or the state, we can flag them,” Jackson said.
This could result in them being denied entry to Australia.
