Atlanta Police are seeking help in locating a 25-year-old pregnant woman who hasn’t been seen in days.
Victoria Harris was last observed exiting Piedmont Hospital at approximately 9:20 a.m. on May 16, authorities report. Concern arose when she was declared missing following a police response to a call around 1 a.m. on May 17 near the 1900 block of Peachtree Road NW.
As stated by Channel 2 Action News, Harris is described as being 5 feet, 5 inches in height, with a weight of 140 pounds, and has short brown dreadlocks. When last seen, she was wearing dark blue attire along with a black shirt, but was barefoot.
A family spokesperson shared that Harris is several months pregnant and facing challenges with a mental health disorder. She initially sought psychiatric assistance at Piedmont Hospital and was set to be placed in a long-term care facility but was released because of her pregnancy.
Her sister, Bethea, told FOX 5 that Harris left the hospital without her phone or identification and lacks access to public transportation and support services.
“It’s very frightening, knowing that she’s pregnant with a growing baby and she doesn’t have the care that she needs. She should be taking prenatal vitamins, knowing that she went into the hospital with her feet injured, knowing that she doesn’t have a MARTA card or debit card, it’s very scary not to know where she is.”
Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to contact APD Homicide/Adult Missing Persons Unit at 404-546-4235.
