Authorities have descended on a site in western New South Wales following a potential sighting of Julian Ingram, the man suspected of a triple homicide.

The suspect, who is also known by the alias Julian Pierpoint, has managed to evade capture for five days. This follows a violent incident in Lake Cargelligo where three individuals were fatally shot and another was left with serious injuries.

Assistant Commissioner Andrew Holland reported that tactical police units, along with air support, were swiftly mobilized after eyewitness accounts suggested Ingram was spotted in the vicinity of Mt Hope, located north-west of Lake Cargelligo, earlier today.

Ingram had not met the criteria for wearing an electronic monitoring device, which would have alerted authorities if he came near Sophie.

“For cases involving any prior history of violent behavior, electronic monitoring should be mandatory as part of bail conditions,” stated Shadow Attorney General Damien Tudehope.

Given the infancy of the case and the fact the accused is still on the run, the government won’t comment on why Ingram was released on bail.

Although, it insists it isn’t being complacent and the system will be scrutinised.
