A man is in critical condition after a car lost control and collided with a pole in Brisbane last night.

Police believe the 26-year-old man was driving a car eastbound on Inala Avenue, at Durack before he lost control of the vehicle.

The incident occurred shortly before 9pm. Three passengers were in the car.

All four people, including a 19-year-old man and two women aged 27 and 30, were taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

The driver sustained critical injuries in the crash.

The passengers escaped the crash with non-life-threatening ones.

Police are appealing for members of the public to come forward with dashcam footage of the crash.
