Rita Ora has touched down in Australia as she gears up for her appearances at two major events in the country.

The British pop sensation arrived at Sydney Airport on Sunday, radiating a cheerful vibe.

At 35, Rita displayed a trendy yet relaxed style, sporting a snug grey tank top beneath an unbuttoned, striped ‘boyfriend shirt’ that could very well be from the wardrobe of her husband, New Zealand filmmaker Taika Waititi.

She opted for comfort by pairing her outfit with black track pants and classic white Nike sneakers.

To keep a low profile, Rita donned designer sunglasses and secured her blonde locks with a stylish black and white bandana.

Enhancing her ensemble, she accessorized with several pieces of gold jewelry and kept her makeup minimal.

The finishing touch for the hitmaker was an AUD $28,000 Hermès Birkin bag in black leather.

Rita is set to present an award at the Vogue Forces of Fashion event in Sydney this month, as well as performing at the Formula 1 Grand Prix 2026 in Melbourne in March.

It comes after Ora revealed it was a ‘real eye opener’ becoming a stepmother to her husband Waititi’s children.

Rita and director and actor Taika tied the knot in 2022 and Rita became a stepmother to his daughters Te Kāinga o te Hinekāhu, 13, and Matewa Kiritapu, nine.

In a rare comment on her family life, Rita opened up about how being a stepmother changed her perspective on the world.

Speaking to The Sun, Rita said she finds the role ‘easy’, but confessed it helped her understand how much more there is to life.

She said: ‘It’s really easy. We wake up, we work out together with the kids running on the treadmills, it’s a family affair.

‘I have to say it’s been a real eye-opener to understand that sometimes there’s more to life than what you care about in that moment.

‘I’ve realised there’s so much more, so [becoming a stepmother] did give me that.’

Film director Taika, 50, shares his two children with his ex-wife Chelsea Winstanley, also 50, who he split from in 2018 after seven years of marriage.

Last year Rita shared rare insight into her marriage to Taika while flaunting her jaw-dropping figure in a stunning shoot for Hunger magazine.

Rita credited their strong friendship as the key component to their romantic relationship.

Telling the publication: ‘Taika and I are basically just best friends and we wanted to just live in that element forever, I guess.’

The couple wed in a secret ceremony in August 2022, after Rita bucked tradition and popped the question.

Their low-key Los Angeles ceremony wasn’t confirmed by the couple until a year later, which Rita told Grazia they ‘winged with zero planning’.

After years of not being in the right relationship during her ‘messy twenties’, Rita said that when she got together with Taika it felt ‘right and safe’.

The pair started dating in March 2021, before going public with their romance that August.

Prior to their romantic relationship, Rita and Taika were close friends for five years.
