Police are continuing their search for the man following the assault in Clearview at around 6pm on Sunday.

She struggled and managed to break free, with the man fleeing the scene.

Despite extensive searches, the attacker remains at large five days later.

Authorities have shared CCTV images of the suspect, who is described as wearing a green hoodie and pyjama pants, seen on the street where the incident took place.

“It’s a bit scary to think that you can’t even walk along the street… especially with a young child,” one local resident said

“I hope they find that person… this is usually a very calm neighborhood… I didn’t expect something like this to happen here, especially involving a woman with a child,” another resident commented.

The incident occurred in a residential area with a large number of families with young children, and a playground located just over 100 metres from the site of the assault.

Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
