An employee at a barber shop is set to contest allegations that he, along with three others, sexually assaulted a teenage girl in what police describe as a prolonged gang rape incident.

Adam Abdul-Hamid is one of four youths accused of being involved in the six-hour-long sexual assault of a 17-year-old girl in south-west Sydney on December 15, 2024.
Police allege the 19-year-old failed to intervene as the only adult present and instead sent himself a text message from the complainant’s phone.

According to reports, the young man requested a ride to a park in a nearby suburb, with the girl believing he would exit the vehicle once they arrived.

However, upon reaching the park, two additional males allegedly entered the car and proceeded to assault her as well.

A fourth individual later joined in another vehicle, and authorities claim the assaults continued as the girl was driven around for a total of six hours.

The 16-year-old, identified as the alleged leader of this incident, faces charges including 19 counts of sexual assault and five counts of sexual touching.

He remains before the courts.
