Two teenagers were taken to the hospital following a stabbing incident that occurred during a family gathering in Sydney, after a group of boys disrupted the event.

At approximately 10:15 p.m. last night, a group of five males intruded on a family function at The Sapphire, located on Station Road in Auburn.

During the event, the group attacked a 17-year-old inside the venue, leading one of them to stab him in the leg.

The 17-year-old was treated by paramedics before being taken to Westmead hospital in a stable condition.

Shortly after, a second boy, aged 18, showed up at the same hospital with stab wounds to his lower body, including on his leg.

Police believe he was also at the family function.
