Hollywood director Rob Reiner and wife stabbed to death in Los Angeles home

Tragedy struck Hollywood as renowned director and actor Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele, were discovered dead in their Los Angeles residence. The couple’s deaths are suspected to be the result of stab wounds, and authorities are currently questioning a family member in connection with the incident, according to an LAPD spokesperson.

The Reiner family has confirmed the heartbreaking news in a statement shared with Variety.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass expressed her sorrow, describing Reiner’s passing as a significant loss for the city. “Rob Reiner’s impact on American culture and society is profound, having enriched countless lives with his creative talents and tireless advocacy for social and economic justice,” she remarked in a statement.

The son of comedy legend Carl Reiner, Rob Reiner was married to photographer Michele Singer Reiner since 1989.
