President Donald Trump announced he is currently evaluating a fresh proposal from Iran aimed at resolving the ongoing conflict.
Before boarding Air Force One, Trump remarked, “I’ll update you on it later,” and mentioned that he was awaiting the precise wording of the proposal.
Shortly after, he took to Truth Social to express skepticism, stating, “I can’t imagine that it would be acceptable.”
The administration has declared through a statement that Secretary of State Marco Rubio has acknowledged an urgent situation necessitating the swift sale of defense equipment and services, which is deemed crucial for the national security of the United States. This declaration effectively bypasses the need for congressional approval.
As part of this move, Israel is set to receive the Advanced Precision Kill Weapons System, along with related equipment, in a deal valued at approximately $1.4 billion for the U.S.
Additionally, both the UAE and Qatar will be equipped with this system. Qatar will also see its Patriot air and missile defense inventory replenished.
This will cost around $5.6 billion alone.
“There will be no adverse impact on US defence readiness as a result of this proposed sale,” the State Department claims.
