On Monday, Britney Spears debuted a chic new hairstyle with fresh extensions, courtesy of renowned celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton.
‘As a kid growing up in England, Britney Spears was the soundtrack to so many moments,’ the 42-year-old father-of-two captioned his Instagram post.
Reflecting on the experience, Appleton expressed his excitement, saying, “Never did I imagine I’d be styling her hair—she’s truly an icon and one of the most genuinely kind souls I’ve ever encountered.” He humorously added that Spears stood behind his chair, creating a full-circle moment for him.
Among those who reacted to Appleton’s post was Kim Kardashian, his favorite client, who shared her approval with two heart-arrow emojis.
Kardashian, known for her role as the Skims’ Chief Creative Officer, officiated Appleton’s brief 2023 marriage to actor Lukas Gage in Las Vegas. The whirlwind romance concluded in divorce seven months later.

The star of The Kardashians previously extended an invitation to Spears for a sleepover event at her luxurious $60 million Hidden Hills estate, set for November 14, alongside her sister Khloé Kardashian.
‘She is just a doll. She’s like the sweetest, sweetest girl,’ Kardashian told Khloé in Wonder Land on January 28.
‘Her manager, Cade [Hudson], had connected us and she wanted to come over and we hung. And I’ve met her a few times before and she’s just really sweet and wanted some girl time.’
The All’s Fair producer and star originally met Spears, 44, in 2012 when she was a judge on The X-Factor, which Khloé co-hosted.
Spears’ makeover came nearly a month after she took a plea deal to avoid jail on DUI misdemeanor charges stemming from her March 4 arrest.
The Grammy winner agreed to the lesser charge of ‘wet reckless’ aka reckless driving involving alcohol and/or drugs, for which she received 12 months of probation.
Spears now cannot possess drugs without a valid prescription, and she must complete a DUI class and pay state-mandated fines, or she’ll be sentenced to jail.
The Hold Me Closer hitmaker – who left a treatment center 21 days into a 30-day rehab stint – must also continue to meet with a psychologist once a week and a psychiatrist twice a month.

‘Through her plea today, Britney has accepted responsibility for her conduct,’ Spears’ lawyer Michael Goldstein told TMZ.
‘She has taken significant steps to implement positive change which is clearly reflected in the Ventura County District Attorney’s decision to reduce the charge in this case and dismiss the DUI.
‘Britney appreciates this discretion and is also grateful for the outpouring of support she has received.’
