Tiny 'gingerbread house' on Martha's Vineyard selling for 6 figure sum

A quaint ‘gingerbread house’ has become available on the prestigious Martha’s Vineyard, and it could be yours for a cool six-figure sum.

Nestled within the Camp Meeting Association campground in Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts, this charming one-bedroom, one-bathroom cottage is listed for $640,000.

For potential homeowners eager to establish themselves on this luxurious island, this community offers a more budget-friendly pathway to residing in one of the priciest regions in the United States.

“It’s becoming more popular, believe it or not,” remarked Stacy Ickes, the property’s listing agent, in a conversation with Boston.com.

She further explained, “I think it’s just because it’s a way to get in. It’s an affordable way to get your foot in the door.”

Altogether, this vibrant abode on 2 Lincoln Avenue offers a cozy 354 square feet of living space.

The home, which has been deemed ‘Fun Size’ or ‘Baby Vineyard’ by its previous and current owners, is described as ‘timeless and truly one of a kind.’

One of its advertised perks for members is access to its ‘stunning Tabernacle.’

In 2005, the US Department of the Interior recognized the association’s campground as a National Historic Landmark.

The 34–acre community, also known as Wesleyan Grove, was founded as a Methodist summer camp in the 1800s.

Today, it houses about 300 wooden cottages brightly painted in a kaleidoscope of colors.
