NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The New York Times recently featured a list of six “vibrant cities” known for their beautiful autumn walks, with Nashville’s Music City making the cut.

The article spotlighted the scenic foliage along the mile-long trail surrounding Lake Watauga in Centennial Park. Besides the vivid leaves, visitors were encouraged to explore the park, which hosts various festivals and community activities. The Centennial Park Conservancy mentions events such as Yoga in the Park on Tuesdays and Musicians Corner on Fridays until Sept. 26.

Visitors are also recommended to check out the Parthenon. The Central Park Conservancy highlights that the renowned sculptor Alan LeQuire, creator of the Parthenon’s famous Athena statue, is showcasing a special sculpture exhibit until Sept. 21. The “Goddess in Progress” exhibit offers insights into the creation of the Athena statue and is available throughout the fall, extending into April 2026.

Other locations on the list include Central Park in New York City, Mount Royal Park in Montreal, Arnold Arboretum in Boston, Stanley Park in Vancouver, and Burke-Gilman Trail in Seattle.
