During Friday’s airing of CNN’s “The Source,” Representative Ilhan Omar from Minnesota explained why she reshared a video portraying Charlie Kirk as Dr. Frankenstein who was killed by his own creation. Omar pointed out that while she doesn’t always agree with every single detail in shared content, the overarching message of describing Kirk as a “reprehensible, hateful man” resonated with her beliefs.

Host Kaitlan Collins highlighted a previous town hall where Omar labeled Kirk as “hateful.” Collins questioned Omar’s decision to repost a controversial video that compared Kirk to Dr. Frankenstein, who met his end at the hands of his own monster, leading many to criticize her actions. She asked Omar for her reasoning behind sharing such content.

Omar elaborated, stating the video contained several points she supported. She emphasized that while sharing doesn’t imply blanket endorsement, her views align with the depiction of Kirk as a “reprehensible, hateful man.” Omar expressed that he challenged fundamental aspects of her identity and doubted her intellectual parity with white men, which she found objectionable.

Furthermore, Omar clarified her stance on political violence, expressing unequivocal condemnation of any form of it, including the killing of Charlie Kirk. She mentioned her immediate response post-Kirk’s death, tweeting against political violence and advocating for efforts to curb gun violence in the United States.
