A FATHER allegedly threw his 8-month-old child “at the wall” because he was a distraction as the dad played video games.
Theodor Hurt, 23, was arrested months earlier in December, and his wife, Dakota Vick, 24, was just booked this past Thursday.
The couple is accused of misleading authorities about the cause of their daughter’s fractured skull.
Vick admitted to police in a second interview that she had seen her husband lashing out at their daughter was upset at how he handled it.
When the couple took the girl to a hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, they told staff their baby had fallen off the couch while she was getting her diaper changed on November 19.
Records show that the child “was found to have a skull fracture and significant swelling on the right side of her head.”
Hurt told police on November 23 that he “became frustrated with his daughter for crying while he was trying to play video games and drink shots” with his friends online.
Becoming frustrated, Hurt took the girl upstairs and threw her into her pack-n-play hard enough that she hit her head on the wall.

He said that his daughter had missed a nap earlier that day and was being fussy. Once he saw her cry, Hurt told police that he started crying over his actions.
Vick originally said that her mother-in-law had seen the child fall off the couch at least once on November 19.
While being interviewed by police, Hurt’s mother said she saw the child fall after dropping off two of the older grandchildren from school.
She also claimed that she did not see the child’s head swelling until the next day.
The couple is still in police custody with bail set at $82,000 and $25,000 respectively. Hurt has pleaded guilty to his charges but Vick has yet to enter a plea.
The other children in the house – ages 2, 4, 6 and 8 – have been placed into state care.
