Dave Grohl and his wife, Jordyn Blum, appeared together at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards, presenting a united front two years after a secret-child scandal put their marriage under intense scrutiny.
Grohl, 57, and Blum, 50, married in 2003 and share three daughters: Violet, 20, Harper, 17, and Ophelia, 12.
The Foo Fighters frontman sparked controversy in September 2024 when he revealed that he had fathered another daughter “outside of my marriage.”
The child’s mother was identified the following February as Jennifer Young, a rock ’n’ roll fan originally from Florida who is now based in Los Angeles.
By September, a source told People that Blum had “forgiven” Grohl and that the couple were “very happy” once again.
The pair appeared to signal that their relationship had moved forward as they walked the red carpet at the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles, with Blum proudly wearing her wedding ring.

The couple were joined on the red carpet by two of their daughters, with the family of four appearing relaxed and happy together.
Grohl kept an arm wrapped around Blum as he beamed for cameras, while she smiled alongside him in an all-black look.
The rocker embraced a classic style, pairing a deliberately rumpled leather jacket with a turtleneck, jeans and leather shoes.
Blum’s fitted dress cinched at the waist, highlighting her slender figure before flowing into a fuller skirt.
Grohl was also at the ceremony to accept the MTV Video Music Awards’ top honor, the Video Vanguard Award, on behalf of Nirvana, the band that made him a star in the 1990s.
Nirvana disbanded after frontman Kurt Cobain died by suicide in 1994, following a prolonged struggle with addiction and depression.
While on the red carpet Sunday, Grohl reunited with Nirvana’s other surviving members, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear.
Grohl has confirmed that the child he fathered outside his marriage is a girl, but has protected her privacy by not revealing her name.
However the little girl’s mother has publicly divulged that the baby was born on August 1, 2024, the month before Grohl took the news public, via Page Six.

Young noted that her daughter’s name was being kept under wraps ‘because there’s some really angry fans. Protecting her identity is really important.’
Although Young has no public social media pages and her present profession remains a mystery, she is known to have been a co-creator and writer of a series of comic books entitled Cannibal, according to League of Comic Books.
Last year, an insider indicated Grohl and Blum ‘never wanted a divorce,’ as they were ‘great parents’ and ‘idea of splitting up their family was too sad for both of them.’
Blum was said to have been ‘distraught’ at the news of the new baby, but the source noted that ‘the betrayal was painful for both of them.’
Grohl was said to have ‘felt terrible and begged her to forgive him,’ while Blum’s friends purportedly ‘encouraged her to fight.’

An insider exclusively informed Our News Outlet the following month that Blum was in a ‘state of confusion’ about the future of her relationship.
‘One day Jordyn Blum is ditching her wedding ring and vowing divorce from cheating husband Dave Grohl,’ said the source. ‘The next she’s at home wearing the ring and sobbing because she doesn’t want the marriage to end.’
By November 2024, an insider said Grohl was ‘no longer working with a divorce attorney and instead hoping to work things out with his wife,’ according to People.
In March 2025, the couple were said to be in ‘counseling,’ with Grohl ‘doing anything he can to win back Jordyn’s trust,’ per Us Weekly.
