Kim Wall was a freelance journalist from Sweden who was murdered. On the 10th and 11th of August 2017, she was brutally murdered in a submarine.

Since she was struck by the submarine’s tight lid, Wall died tragically. However, the savagery continued after her death, as her body was dismembered.

Her torso was discovered on the beach of Amager after her remains were thrown in adjacent locales. She also received 15 stab wounds, the majority of them were in her crotch area.

Kim Wall was killed by a Danish entrepreneur and an amateur engineer, Peter Madsen.

Wall had gone to meet Peter with the intent of interviewing the famous entrepreneur. However, things did not go as planned.

Madsen was detained from Koge Bay on 11 August and was charged with negligent manslaughter. He was found guilty of sexual assault, murder, and indecent handling of a corpse.

In 2018, Peter was sentenced to life imprisonment. He escaped from jail in 2020 by threatening an employee but was later re-captured from a local residency.

Madsen is currently locked up in the Herstedvester Prison.

Kim Wall Murder Documentary On Netflix-What Actually Happened To Her?

Kim Wall’s murder documentary was filmed and premiered by Netflix.

It is titled Into The Deep and it was premiered at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival. The same true-crime series is set to be portrayed on HBO’s Undercurrent.

Recently, a trailer was also released which was much loved by the audiences. The documentary is unyoked into two parts: The Crime and The Punishment.

Undercurrent will air tonight, 8 March 2022 on HBO.

Kim Wall’s family is still devastated by his untimely demise.

She was far away from her parents and siblings as she was based in Denmark at that time. She had established herself as a freelance journalist by taking one step at a time.

Wall was ready to settle down with her Danish boyfriend, Ole in Beijing, China. She had just one last interview with Peter Madsen before gearing towards her dream life.

Sadly, Kim lost her life while she was on her duty doing what she loved the most.

How Did Kim Wall Disappear?

As per Wikipedia, Peter Madsen invited Kim Wall for an interview on his submarine UC3 Nautilus in 2017.

She boarded the submarine with just the intention of completing her job. But neither submarine nor Kim returned to the harbor.

The same night, a missing person report was filed in her name. Her dismembered body parts were later found in the nearby areas.

Finally, Kim’s torso was also found on Amager beach. On 6 October, her head, legs, clothes, and knife were discovered by police divers in Koge Bay.
