Trump seen for first time since rescue mission to save airman

On a relatively quiet Easter Sunday, President Donald Trump made a rare appearance at the White House, with only a few public engagements on his agenda.

Trump was seen stepping out of his official vehicle, known as The Beast, dressed casually in golf attire after spending time at one of his golf courses in Virginia.

This marked his first public sighting since the dramatic rescue of a missing U.S. airman in Iran on Saturday. The airman, who piloted an F-15, had been hiding in a mountain crevice in Iran with only a handgun for protection after his jet was downed.

Earlier that day, Trump’s motorcade was observed moving through Washington, D.C. The President was spotted engrossed in reading something on his mobile phone.

In a bold Easter message, Trump issued a stern warning to Iran, threatening to ‘blow everything up and take over the oil’ if the nation does not reach an agreement with the United States soon.

Throughout the day, he has also been engaging with journalists, discussing various topics.

Trump told Fox News’ Trey Yingst he is considering taking far more drastic measures in Iran.

‘If they don’t reach a deal – and soon – I’m considering blowing everything up and taking control of the oil,’ Trump said, according to Yingst.

Trump’s latest threat came just hours after he issued a foul-mouthed rant on social media, bizarrely ending the post with the phrase: ‘Praise be to Allah.’

He wrote in a Truth Social post early on Easter Sunday morning: ‘Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran.

‘There will be nothing like it!!! Open the F***in’ Strait, you crazy b*****ds, or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah. President DONALD J. TRUMP.’

The commander-in-chief said Iran has until Tuesday at 8pm to accept the offer, he shared to Truth Social on Sunday afternoon.

The President’s threat to turn the country into a living hell comes just days after US-Israeli air strikes destroyed Iran’s tallest bridge, killing eight people.

His latest messages were also shared just hours after US special forces rescued two F-15 airmen who got trapped behind enemy lines as the war rages on.

Washington Reporter Editor in Chief Matthew Foldi also shared on X that he had spoken to Trump ‘about reconciliation, China, Iran, daylight savings time, and more’, in response to a post claiming that Trump has skipped three Easter masses and has something ‘wrong’ with him.

The Hill’s Julia Manchester also noted that she has spoken with Trump Sunday afternoon on the phone, a conversation during which he apparently did not rule ‘out sending ground troops into Iran if they do not make a deal.’

The president is expected to host an Easter Dinner at the White House on Sunday evening, as well as the annual White House Easter Egg Roll on Monday.
