Pink denies separation from husband, sarcastically thanks media for letting her know

Renowned rock & roll icon Pink was taken by surprise when she discovered through “trash media” that her marriage to Carey Hart was allegedly on the rocks. The singer shared her bewilderment in a video posted on social media Thursday.

“So I was just alerted to the fact that I’m separated from my husband. I didn’t know,” the 46-year-old Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominee told fans on Instagram. “Thank you, People magazine. Thank you, Us Weekly. Thank you for letting me know.”

In the video, Pink didn’t hold back her sarcasm as she addressed the media outlets. “I was wondering, would you also like to inform our children?” she quipped. “My 14-year-old and 9-year-old are also unaware.”

This unexpected revelation came shortly after People magazine reported, citing an unnamed source, that Pink and her husband, former motocross racer Carey Hart, were supposedly splitting after two decades together. The story quickly spread to other publications, including the Daily News.

This isn’t the first time the couple has faced rumors about their relationship. They had previously gone through a rough patch in 2008, nearly calling it quits before reconciling and later welcoming their two children. Pink and Hart’s love story began in 2001, followed by a breakup two years later. The couple reunited in 2004 and eventually tied the knot in 2006.

Pink, clearly frustrated by the false reports, suggested that the media could focus on more pressing topics rather than spreading rumors about her marriage supposedly heading for divorce.

Pink went on to list the many other topics media outlets could have been focusing on instead of the false news that she and Hart are headed to divorce court.

“Do you want to talk about some real news? Do you want to talk about the Epstein files? Do you want to talk about systemic racism, or misogyny in sports, or how classy the women’s hockey team is, or how eight of the 12 [gold] medals won in the Olympics this year for the U.S. were won by women?” Pink posited.

“Or, do you maybe want to talk about the fact that I got nominated the first year I was eligible for the Rock & Roll motherf—ing Hall of Fame?” she asked. “Do you want to talk about my accomplishments, or do you only want to talk about my supposed demise?”

The Grammy winner ended by telling fans, “I love you all,” urging them to “go with God,” and admonishing purveyors of misinformation for clicks with, “Trash news, you can do better.”
