Fans have been left bemused by a bizarre detail in Dominik Szoboszlai’s living room.

The Hungarian midfielder has starred for Liverpool since he moved to Anfield from RB Leipzig for £60million in the summer.

The 23-year-old has quickly outlined his importance at the heart of the Reds’ new-look midfield, although he missed Sunday’s 3-1 defeat by Arsenal through injury.

After getting a new tattoo inked on his chest, Szoboszlai posed in what seemed to be his living room with the aforementioned tattoo artist, while holding up a Liverpool shirt with his name and number on the back.

However, eagle-eyed supporters noticed in one of the pictures behind the Hungarian, there was a life-sized cardboard cutout of him in what is one of the more bizarre living room ornaments someone could have.

And, fans were quick to comment on the new tattoo design and cardboard cutout that was spotted in the background.

One supporter said: ‘We going to ignore the fact that he has a cardboard cutout of himself in his own house.’

Another bemused fan added: ‘We can’t pass over the fact that Szoboszlai has a cardboard cutout of himself in his house.’

However, other fans backed up the Hungarian as one said: ‘Tbf I’d do the same,’ while another chimed in: ‘I’d have two if I looked like him.’

A further supporter felt Szoboszlai’s accessory was only positive as they added: ‘The level of self-love I want to reach.’

Szoboszlai – who wears the No 8 shirt – saw his new detailed tattoo on his chest feature the word impossible.

But, others backed the midfielder and felt they would do similar if they were in his position

Along with his new tattoo, 23-year-old also has one dedicated to Steven Gerrard, with a quote from the Liverpool legend on his arm that reads: ‘Talent is a divine blessing, but without incredible will and humility, it is worth nothing.’

And, speaking back in the summer, the influence of Gerrard seemingly played a role in taking the No 8 shirt when he was questioned why he chose it.

‘Not (for) a special reason,’ he told LFC TV. ‘But of course it’s a great number. A lot of great players had this number.

‘And also I have a tattoo from Steven Gerrard, what he said – I don’t even remember when but before – so it was also a reason why.’
